Obituary of Dina A. McKeirnan

Smethport - Dina A. McKeirnan, 92, of Jamestown, NY, formerly of Crosby and Warren, PA, died Tuesday (June 17, 2014) in the Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing, Greenhurst, NY. She was born January 10, 1922 in Kane, a daughter of Valentino and Agnese Faes. On December 18, 1941, in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, PA, she married William R. “Bill” McKeirnan, who died May 15, 2005. Mrs. McKeirnan was a graduate of Colegrove High School and was a housewife tending to the needs of her family. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, a former member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Smethport, and she loved to crochet. She is survived by: two daughters: Julie E. Cosper of Smethport, PA and Patricia Knepp of Youngsville, PA one son: Michael McKeirnan of Jamestown, NY four grandchildren: Aaron and Andrew Knepp, Christine Varner, and Rob G. Cosper, III five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert, Joseph, and Charles Faes. Visitation will be held on Thursday (June 26) from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday (June 26) in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Smethport, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor as Celebrant. Committal will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 307 Franklin St., Smethport, PA 16749.
