Obituary of Betty Dickerson

Smethport - Betty Dickerson, 78, of Smethport, died Friday (November 7, 2014) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. She was born Sept. 26, 1936 in Indiana County, a daughter of Ira and Nannie Brink Holowell. On Nov. 16, 1957, in Warren, PA, she married Robert Francis Dickerson, who died June 28, 2014. Mrs. Dickerson was a graduate of Cranberry High School. She owned and operated the Barr-Key Distributor for many years in Port Allegany. She was a member of Thursday Night Women's Bowling League in Smethport. She is survived by: one daughter: Julie (Allen) Talley of Hummelstown, PA three sons: Scott Dickerson of Smethport, Robert A. (Marilyn) Dickerson of Reedsville, and Paul H. Dickerson of Oil City Grandchildren: Tatum And Dillon Talley Step Great Grandchild: Isaiah Eaton one brother: Ernie (Melinda) Holowell of California sisters in law: Shirley Holowell of Florida and Pat Holowell of Arizona. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Isabelle, Millie, Ester, Larue, Clare, Jack, Adelbert, and Charles “Roy”. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 11A.M. to 12 noon at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral services will begin at noon, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
