Obituary of Marlene E. Robertson

Smethport - Marlene E. Robertson, 81, of Smethport, formerly of Cyclone, died Sunday (April 19, 2015) in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. She was born June 1, 1933 in Bradford, a daughter of the late Thelma Cressman. On May 29, 1952, in the First Methodist Church of Olean, NY, she married Roy W. Robertson, who died Dec. 14, 2013. Mrs. Robertson was the Cyclone Elementary School cafeteria supervisor for several years, but her main focus was tending to the needs of her family as a homemaker. She was a very devout Christian and loved her children and grandchildren very much. She is survived by: one daughter: Lisa (Bill) Bailey of Smethport one son: David (Theresa) Robertson of Eldred seven grandchildren: Heather, Misty, Shawn, Shane, Melissa, Matthew, and Miranda sixteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn K. Robertson. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25 at 11:00 am from the Hilltop Baptist Church, Gifford, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor, officiating.
