Obituary of Louise "Jennie" Weimer Bauer

Farmers Valley – Louise "Jennie" Weimer Bauer, 89, of Farmers Valley, went home to be with her Lord on Monday (May 11, 2015) at the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport. Louise was the daughter of Edward and Agnes Carlson Murphy of Ridgway, PA. She was born January 1, 1926, the first baby born in Olean, NY that year. On January 19, 1946, she married Chester "Chet" Michael Weimer, who preceded her in death on March 15, 1964. She then married Stephen F. Bauer in November of 1968, who died on October 25, 2008. Louise attended Ridgway schools and was employed at Viko Furniture Company in Eldred for many years and then retired from Aerovox (AVX) of Olean, NY. Louise was a godly wife and mother who loved to cook and take care of her home and family. She was a caring person who many times gave to others when she was in need herself. Her dry sense of humor was enjoyed by family and friends. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Louise and Chet had five children and one stepdaughter from Chet's previous marriage, who all survive: two daughters: Kathy (Gary) Henry of Port Allegany, PA and Wendy (Raymond) Smith of Forney, TX step daughter: Karen (William) Neely of Jefferson, OH three sons: Randy (Sally) Weimer, Michael (Patti) Weimer, and Kevin (Kathy) Weimer, all of Farmers Valley, PA ten grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren one brother: Robert Murphy of Ridgway, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Louise was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Edward "Sonny", and Bruce Murphy and one sister, Phyllis Supon Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral and committal services will be held at noon, with the Rev. Allen Young, pastor of the East Smethport United Christian Church, and the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Farmers Valley.
