Obituary of Ramona E. Mallison

Smethport - Ramona E. Mallison, 86, of Smethport, died Tuesday (June 9, 2015) in UPMC-Hamot, Erie, PA. She was born March 17, 1929, in St. Mary's, PA, a daughter of George and Dorothy Jesberger Johnston. On June 19, 1948, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's, PA, she married Richard F. Mallison, who survives. Mrs. Mallison was a homemaker tending to the needs of her family. She was a dedicated member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Smethport, and belonged to St. Elizabeth Women. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one daughter: Amy (James) Austin of Shinglehouse, PA one son: David Mallison of Smethport, PA five grandchildren: Jacob, Elias, Noah, Anna and Henry Austin one brother: Richard Johnston of St. Mary's, PA and several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, Ramona was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00-9:45 A.M. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Main St., Smethport, PA, where a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. following visitation, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor, as Celebrant. Committal will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport.
